Lead vocalist and lyricist of “Rage Against the Machine”
~~~
Zack de la Rocha was the lead vocalist and almost carried the whole band himself, being the driving force and writer of verse, of the severe and unique blend of punk rock/rap/ and metal music band “Rage Against the Machine.” Rocha was likely a literal descendant of the surviving Aztecs, Incan, or Mayan people who had been nearly wiped off the map by Spanish conquistadores led by corrupt churches, most predominantly Catholicism, and politically across America; Spain, French, and English troops and colonialists, starting shortly after Columbus in the 15th and 16th centuries C.E.
I have no available records to definitely prove this, but it is known that Rocha’s lineage includes Jewish, American, African, and Mexican genealogy. I do not know how dominant one ethnicity is over another in his bloodline. He wrote some songs about the Aztecs and if not quite his direct ancestry, most certainly it is a spiritual or cultural one for Zack. So much so, that it seems to be a strong possibility he is of Aztec descent, and with certainty indigenous.
“Peoples of the Sun”
The Aztecs were an extremely violent culture and civilization. They were known for offering human sacrifices, much like the corrupt nations about ancient Israel such as Canaan, but theirs by tearing out the beating hearts of still living men. There were brutal murders by their priesthood as well as among the common people as a daily occurrence.
The later nations all over North and South America, under first the European colonial rulers up to the formed nations in the present day, echoes this same violence and depravity in their streets and neighborhoods, in major cities from Mexico City to New York. In my opinion America, which Rocha greatly detests for their veneer and front of being a “godly” nation, is likely far worse than the Aztecs ever were. For one thing, a great deal of druggery and underhanded dealings occur everywhere, from the common thug in the street to the highest echelons of their own government; and the reason for the seeming contrast between blatant Aztec evils and the dominant power of Anglo-America today, is that most crime in the cities of the Americas go “unnoticed” or are not nearly as visible as what the Aztecs openly were known for.
This violence and demonic activity such as murder, druggery, and rape is rampant, not only in the western “civilized” societies but all over the world. It is pandemic in scope, and a great reason for the parallel Jesus laid on “the last days” with the time of the Flood, when the Nephilim and their angelic fathers filled the earth with sexual immorality and violent acts.
The Dominant World-power of our Time
Zack wrote songs directly against this corrupt America and Western domination, and was particular about the political realms rather than the false religious influences quite often(Unlike Bad Religion which spoke of both in every album they made.)
One of his songs was called “People of the Sun”, referring specifically to his own spiritual ancestry and the glory and power of the Aztec empire. The Aztecs built ziggurats for human sacrifice that rivalled and in some ways surpassed the Egyptian’s Great Pyramids, and they had cultural technologies and oral traditions that went beyond any nation in Europe had yet achieved. They did not have a very inherent or useful system of writing, though they did have forms of writing similar to heiroglyphs, if I can recall that right.
The mystery of their power and accumulation of knowledge is thus ambiguous and likely to have been spiritual in nature as well as by oral tradition, in that to hand down their religion and various knowledge of technology and natural forces was accomplished by wise men, sages, and priesthood of their pagan gods. The European conquest of the Americas was rather decisive, as they had vastly superior weapons firstly in the form of rifles, guns and cannons.
Cognitive Dissonance and Belief among the Natives
The Aztecs and other tribes in NA and SA also thought the “white men” must be gods due to the cognitive dissonance of seeing their great ships and fleets, which had sails the Indigenous thought must be the clouds of heaven, as well as seeing horses the first time which the leaders and cavalry rode toward them on. The Aztecs in particular were not known to be great mariners like the Vikings and then the Europeans, and their boats were so astonishing to them they could not understand at once what must be, to their minds, divine intervention, or the coming of their own deities.
Parallels to the Sci-fi Masterpiece “Dune”
Regarding colonialism, and the influence of religion in conquest:
The Aztec and other indigenous reaction and defeat by the Europeans has reminiscence to me of the “Fremen” people and Paul Atreides as the “Muad’Dib” Messiah figure towards the Fremen beliefs, in Herbert’s masterpiece, Dune. In Dune the Bene Gesserit were very much involved in the subjugation of those indigenous people, the Fremen, on Dune. The Bene Gesserit were some kind of group of powerful witches, and had influenced some form of scriptures of fabricated prophecy called “The Orange Bible”(see Frank Herbert’s epic Sci-fi series “Dune” and its succeeding books.)
Dune has recently been made into yet another film attempt at portrayal. The book series by Frank Herbert is exceedingly deep and broad in scope; I find the current new film adaptations to be astonishingly good so far, despite this.
Cavalry and Other Imports
Horses were not native to South America nor North America yet, I have read, and were actually an import that the Native and Indigenous tribes would ride on and use as transportation and pack animals in the short future since Columbus, and the scrambling for domination, land, and resources by the European nations. England, Spain, and France would end up seizing and owning most of it, and America would be “founded”(really a continuation of England’s dominance of earth as the largest civilization and empire at the time) in 1776, when they waged war against the British Empire; although with secret proceedings and strange oaths, as well as progression in their systems of government, that bound them together as a world power, both ideologically and commercially, especially when WW1 broke out in 1914 and the rest of the last days.
For this reason it is known it is not America and England as separate or rival nations despite the American Revolution for independence, but rather the Anglo-American world power in these last days being the dominant world power of our time, much like Egypt, Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece, Rome, and other nations in the history of humankind were.
Concluding Words on this Musician and Activist Great
Rocha is still alive to this day, he is in his 50’s now, and recently there has been a big resurgence and interest in both Rage against the Machine and Rocha’s newer projects and music, owing to the fragmentation of the USA’s citizens in particular. When R.a.t.M. played on Saturday Night Live one time, they cut the power and threw them out of the studio when the band had secretly prepared and then revealed a big USA flag upside down; millions across America saw this happen, as SNL was one of the most popular comedy shows on TV especially during the 80s and 90s.
Personally in my own life, Rocha looks a great deal like both my fleshly brother Jeremy Sandberg, and the comedian Adam Sandler. Rocha does smile at times, but his furious performances and hatred of injustice across the world are almost demonic in origin, despite his motives. As for the churches, and what Rocha titled one of their first albums “Evil Empire”; it should be clear to many at this point that something is horribly wrong not only in the West but the entirety of this system of things, if they are so inclined as to believe in the spirit realms, and not simply the domination of men over other men.
Some of the knowledge I gleaned on this article comes from a recent read called “The Soul of the Marionette” by John Gray, which covers an array of topics although being a very short book, from Gnosticism to the Aztecs to the influence of Bible books and other forms of spirituality.
Much of what I deem to know on the topics here, comes from an accumulation of reading history, myth, anthropology, and religion on many sources of which I have little specific actual references.
The Bible is the greatest source of insight on any such topics in an overarching and helpful sense, being both prophetic and covering the swaths of chaos the world seems to very much be in, in a bad trainwreck way.
